Red Letter Devotional
March 6 - First Seek the Kingdom
March 6
First Seek the Kingdom
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33, KJV)
Reflection
Jesus sets priority before provision. Leaders often reverse the order, chasing resources, influence, or stability first and hoping righteousness follows. Christ is clear—seek the Kingdom first. That means aligning decisions with God’s rule, not market pressure or public opinion. Righteousness is not an add-on; it is the framework. When leaders guard their priorities carefully, they avoid drifting into compromise disguised as opportunity. This verse stabilizes ambition. Seek what governs eternity, and trust God with what supports daily needs.
Implementation Tip
Before making your next strategic decision, pause and test it against one question: Does this advance God’s rule in my life and leadership? If it strengthens integrity, generosity, truth, and obedience, proceed. If it strains those things, slow down.
